Team Talk – The Board
Game
Team Talk is a fun board
game concept which has been specifically designed to assist teams at all levels
within the organisation to focus on continuously improving their teamwork. Team
Talk has also proved to be extremely effective when used to focus on specific
issues for problem solving and process improvement.
|
Team Talk allows the team
in a non-threatening environment to :
-
practice creative thinking
(Bright Ideas, Crystal Ball, U-Tum, Theatre Square),
-
allow them to identify
learning needs (Amber Light, Helping Hand)
-
provide a chance to ask
for support (Moan, Moan, Moan, Helping Hand)
-
and of course, constantly
improving communication and Trust levels as the teams use the process.
-
Perhaps the major benefit
of Team Talk comes when after playing the game several times people start
using the "cards" in real work situations.
|
 |
Team Talk focusses on team
learning. Team members learn about one another and learn together about possible
futures for the team.
Team Talk is ideal for :
-
setting the ground rules
for learning
-
practicing deeper
listening
-
fostering open team
dialogue
-
harnessing skillful
discussion as a decision making process.
At any level in the
organisation Team Talk will lead to sharing of ideas, building shared vision,
appreciation of diversity and a real understanding of what working within a team
really means.
